Trade and Economic Information Service

• Daily e-mail delivery of economic news, exchange rates, business opportunities.
• We are the World Trade Net contact in Cuba, offering notices, news, legislation for the Cuban business community, facilitation of contacts and exchanges among the different national networks.
• We represent the TIPS Latin American Network in Cuba, with headquarters in Uruguay, which processes and disseminates offers and demands directly received from the enterprises and destined to them for trade operations, technology transfers, engagement of services, comparison of business alternatives, planning and improvement of the managerial ability, competitiveness as well as training, consultation and consulting services of local databases.
• We are the National Reference Center in Cuba of the World Trade Organization (WTO, and receive all their publications.
• Market research and special studies according to the particular needs of the enterprise and the country’s priority markets.

Our work relations with trade promotion centers and other foreign entities are an important element for the development of trade. In like manner, the work in coordination with different national entities enables the search of mechanisms and instruments for the promotion of exports.

Publications

• We periodically publish reference materials related with foreign trade: Exporters’ Directory of the Republic of Cuba, Cuban export offer, magazine MERCADO, specialized books, among them: La Clave del Comercio, La Clave del Comercio Electrónico, Cómo acceder a los bancos, Gestión de la Calidad de Exportación.
• In our central archives we treasure documents with valuable information on the different specialties developed by the Ministry of Foreign Trade (MINCEX).
• Organization of seminars, workshops, courses and other activities in relation with economic and trade matters for Cuban business persons.
• Support to both national and foreign trade missions, enabling trade contacts among businessmen.
